Channel Overview

Here are some fun community channels to explore, outside of the course support channels that we have:

Channel name Channel description
#introductions A channel where you get to introduce yourself to the community.
#jobs An internal job listing board shared by members of the community.
#career-advice Ask for career advice from the community, to help you level up your career journey
#chat General chit chat, you can also checkout #chat-design for some cool design link
#accountability-club Keep yourself and other SuperHi’ers accountable on projects inside and outside of SuperHi
#lgbtqia A channel dedicated to LGBTQIA-related discussions, and a safe space for queer folks in the community
#show-and-tell Share work you're proud of — we’d love to see it!
... and many more!

Feel free to contact any of the SuperHi team (we’re the ones with ‘SuperHi’ next to our names) to learn more about what other Discord channels we have. We can also create channels depending on the interest, so if you'd like to create a new channel, drop a message in #suggestions.

Where to find course support

You can also ask course-specific questions by going to one of the course support Discord channels, which will start with "#course-help.”

While SuperHi is an open and supportive community, we do understand that it can sometimes be intimidating to request help, or share your work, in a public forum like Discord. If that's something you're still working up to, then try emailing us or directly messaging us through our chat.

Tips on asking for help

It's important to be as specific as possible when asking for help. This means that you'll want to include as many relevant details as possible, including links to the SuperHi Project you're working on, or to the Figma File that you're working on. If you have a question on a specific exercise in a course, be sure to let us know which course chapter and lesson video.

We also encourage you to post in our public channels because it gives other students the opportunity to learn with you, or even from you! We all learn better together ✨
